ONIS Visa Diesel Generators

In sync with VPL’s corporate value of supplying powerful, reliable and fuel efficient machines which are durable and require a low repair and maintenance cost, the Generators Unit presents a host of diesel generators ranging from 9 to 3,000 kVA, which are assembled by Onis Visa in Italy using Perkins, Volvo Penta, Cummins& Mitsubishi engines along with Meccalte and Stamford alternators.

 

The European style diesel generators are designed and assembled as per the latest ISO 9001 – 14001 standards.

Volvo Penta Engines

Volvo Penta engines are, powerful, reliable and fuel efficient machines manufactured in accordance with ISO 14001 and ISO 18001 standards. The Volvo Penta Industrial Engine is divided into VE (Versatile) variable speed engines for industrial application and and GE (Generator Drive) engines featuring fixed speeds of 1500/ 1800 rpm for power generation. Volvo Penta also offers Marine Engines with complete propulsion and auxiliary systems in both fixed and variable speeds for leisure and commercial application.

Furthermore, Volvo Penta also offers marine generator set systems that offer complete solutions for a ship’s on-board power requirements.

Our service contracts are offered with a variety of service levels which are customized to suit customer needs. The service contracts cover logs of scheduled equipment services as well as the integration of genuine parts for preventive maintenance.

Inventory/ Warehousing and related Key Performance Indicators

These sections and endeavours are managed through the Panasian Group’s support function Supply Chain and Logistics partner to VPL. Their KPIs include spare parts availability and inventory turn days etc.

Our Commitment to Customers

  • In order to follow our commitment of providing a healthy supply of spare parts to our customers, VPL has strategically located Parts Counters and Workshops in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. The parts are available with service crews and mobile workshops and we also run a parts delivery service to customers’ premises.
  • Each warehouse has an extensive stock of available parts ensuring a 75% availability over the counter. VPL also offers Rate Contracts and Rate Running Contracts for parts supplies depending on the agreement with the client.
  • 90% of the repair and maintenance commitments are completed by the originally promised delivery date and time, 95% to be right the first time.
  • Emergency breakdown calls are responded to upon the first call 24/7.
  • Routine quotations are provided within 24 hours of an inquiry.

VPL’s Regular & Action Service Teams

During standard working hours, breakdown assistance in VPL workshops or sites is provided by VPL service professionals. The initial response to breakdown calls is immediate, while recoveries are done within a reasonable time depending on the travelling distance and the scope of repair involved.

24 Hours Action Service

  • This is a 24/7 on-call service where customers call on a designated number after office hours or on a holiday.
  • The calls are attended by humans as opposed to the conventional answering machines or automated communication systems.
  • Service technicians with mobile repair and service vans are located strategically for attending to action service responsibly.
  • VPL warehouses, workshops and special tools are accessible within a reasonable time after normal office hours or holidays.

VPL’s customized canopy mounted diesel generating sets are manufactured by Onis Visa Italy especially for the Pakistani market.
